Prayer: Giving God Glory During Trials

Father God in the name of Jesus, we come to You with humble hearts and opened minds. We thank You for this opportunity to come together as sisters to pray. Before we present the petitions of our hearts to You, we release those that we carry offense for of their debts. We also ask for forgiveness of our sins.

God it is our hearts desire to give you glory in everything. Often times, it is difficult to praise in the dark seasons of life. We become occupied with the pain of our trials and focus on that thing. But Father God, Your Word tells us in Hebrews 12:2, “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” What we are experiencing, Jesus Christ has already experienced. There is no pain that He does not identify with. With that, we are able to find comfort knowing He has made a path for us to overcome the hurt. Father, we thank You for providing an exchange for our pain. You know that it is too big for us to carry. Your word says in Isaiah 61:2-3, “To comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.” So, we hand You our ashes, and take on the beauty. We hand you the despair and take on praise. We will keep a hallelujah on our lips for You. We will bless Your holy name. Let us be planted like oak trees — unmovable, unshakable, and firm as we experience the woes of life. During dark seasons, we are vulnerable and Satan is working overtime. He understands the opportunity he has before him. So, we rebuke him in the name of Jesus. Satan, we rebuke your plans in the name of Jesus. Let me tell you what you won’t do. You won’t introduce us to coping mechanisms that’ll mask the pain and lead us into sin. You won’t have us satisfying our flesh to fill the voids in our hearts. You won’t trap us in depression or oppression. We come against the spirits of suicide and addiction in the name of Jesus. You won’t keep us bound by pain. You won’t keep us stunted and stuck in a mindset of defeat nor in a state of discouragement. The prophet of God told us that this is a year of growth and maturity so you want the tough situations to halt the will of the Lord. It ain’t gone happen. We are going to praise and fight through this thing! We may fall short, we may stumble, we may fall down but we will not stop! When we are weeping, we will still call on the name of the Lord. When we are weeping, we will still shout and give God praises because we understand that our trials are here to strengthen our faith. See Satan wants us to be discouraged by the obstacles. Just like an athlete still trains during adverse weather, we will continue our race even in the storm. The joy of the Lord is our strength. We hold tight to Your joy Lord. We don’t know the plans You have for us but we understand that they are for us to prosper and not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future. This trial will contribute to our testimony and our ministry. We will be able to witness to others that You God can keep our minds and hearts, if we want to be kept. This trial will allow us to pull our brothers and sisters in Christ up out of the traps of the enemy. God, this thing is so much bigger than us and we see it. We may not see the whole plan, but we see what You’re doing. You’re building us up. You’re equipping us to walk into a higher dimension of faith. You’re preparing us for a different level of fight. We’re living in the last days and have to preach Your word to the world. Send us Father for we are willing vessels. Father, we ask that each woman on this line opens her eyes fully. Let her see that these trials are not here to make her lose her faith. Help her to see that Satan is threatened by the gifting You’ve put in her. He knows she’s a spiritual force to be reckoned with. Let her see that this thing, this trial she’s experiencing is bad, ugly, and painful but it’ll make her even stronger. We may not understand why us and why this particular situation but we trust You. We exchange our wills for Yours Father. We submit to You. You are for us. Nothing can separate us from Your love. Nothing! We are convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. We stand firm in our faith. We will give You glory and honor as we navigate trials. We trust You Father. Even in this, we trust You. We love You. We believe for these things to be done through faith in Jesus’ name, amen.
